Impact Week Opening:The Big ConversationThe theme of the 2023 Impact Week is Impact Together. In our opening session, The Big Conversation, we want to talk about the ways for impact capital providers to work against the global forces of division – great power competition, war, economic nationalism, tech decoupling, social unrest and cultural strife – and foster collective impact action. We are looking for silver linings and windows of opportunities in the current polycrisis context to give an impetus to the crowd to find those crucial points for impact capital intervention that will accelerate and scale change. |

Impact Generation ChallengeA group of 19 young people from Torino, assembled by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, have now learned the basics of investing for impact. Now, their mandate is clear: establish a Youth Impact Agenda. It’s a unique challenge for impact people of the next generation, and Impact Week is the perfect place for these youth to get the perspective of seasoned changemakers. |

Impact Together LaunchThe Middle East and north Africa’s most impactful organisations and seasoned European players are coming together to drive impact further and wider: that’s Impact Together! We’re launching the Impact Together! project with this kick-off session, where we’ll unveil plans, challenges and big questions around how to build a thriving impact ecosystem in MENA. With speakers from the project’s partner organisations, the session will show how we’re leveraging knowledge and network to create more inclusive economies, increase access to finance for social enterprises, launch new impact funds and more. |

The Triple Crisis:The power of investing collaborativelyCreating impact through investment needs renewed perspectives, public-private alignment and creativity in collaboration. We will introduce solutions in collaborative investment driving decision making, portfolio quality and investment value through the lens of the food system. We will also hear from EIT Food’s Venture Summit award winners on the value of collaboration in developing investment-ready start-ups creating healthier lives through food, a net zero food system and reducing risk for a fair and resilient food system. |

Impact Heroes PitchesEurope’s social innovation heroes take the stage! Selected in the EIB Institute’s Social Innovation Tournament, top impact enterprises and their founders are here to pitch big ideas in healthcare, sustainable cities, education and many more impactful themes, all seeking to create social, ethical and environmental impact for Europe. In addition to real opportunities to find synergies and aid scaling for the enterprises presented, attendees can expect perspectives on how the EIB Institute accelerates Europe’s most impactful innovations. |

Impact Cities:Building smart and resilient citiesIt takes the power of many to build a city; it takes the power of together to grow a urban ecosystem that fosters innovation and serves social and environmental impact. This panel introduces how a diverse set of competencies and collaboration among a plurality of city stakeholders on joint projects can align in making a city a frontrunner in social innovation. The panel presents the experience of Torino, where 270 public and private, profit and non-profit entities joined to strengthen the local system and qualify it as one of the best places in the world to do social business and impact finance. It presents how two major foundations join forces on social innovation projects. It explains the role of OGR, the physical place which hosts the Impact Week and a wide range of incubation and acceleration programmes for social businesses. It explains how local experiences can have an impact in a global dimension thanks to initiatives such us the European Mission for climate-neutral and smart cities. Social innovators from all European cities, and beyond, are welcome to join. |

Impact by Law:EU sustainability reporting rules & impact ecosystemNew rules, new impact? Join us as we kick off the discussions around EU sustainability disclosure rules and their effect on the impact ecosystem. Prominent impact actors will engage in a dialogue about the multifaceted effects of new rules and actors coming into the impact space. The primary goal is to evaluate the efficacy of these rules in promoting transparency and enabling the efficient mobilisation of additional capital towards impact. |

This panel brings together impact luminaries on the theme of health to raise their most pressing action points. Talking Numbers 2024To define the boundaries and nuances of impact investing, providing reliable and comparable data about the market, the European Impact Investing Consortium was initiated in 2022 by EVPA, GSG and a group of NABs and their academic partners. Following the release of the landmark Accelerating Impact report, the consortium is now ready to scale its activities and methodology. During this session we’ll present the upcoming work of the consortium in 2024 and stimulate the audience to engage in different ways. |

Impact by Numbers:Data for Impact EconomyNumbers matter – especially when problems outnumber solutions. Data can help impact actors measure, manage and meaningfully improve, but only if we work together and share know-how. Use of data and of data science is today's mantra and IT-based, data clouds and AI-backed solutions are everywhere and part of our everyday life. This panel explores how the use of the same tools represents a paradigm shift in social innovation and impact-oriented social and environmental actions. Data science helps predicting and managing pandemic outbursts, pollution and environmental challenges, social end poverty-related emerging needs. It helps sustaining social and environmental friendly choices, from everyday actions to investments, projects and policies. The set of solutions being explored by specialists is virtually unlimited and paves the way to new, innovative methods to scale up impact. Impact stakeholders should have an active role in shaping collaborative data spaces and blueprints for an ethical exchange of data between the private and the social sector. Catalytic Capital:Building Organisational CapacitySkilled for the purpose. Fostering the impact by strenghtening the social economy The not-for-profit sector and the social economy are an engine of solidarity, development, and resilience. However, there are weaknesses in its intangible assets, which is why there is the opportunity for philanthropic foundations to intervene. Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo is creating a "hybrid" foundation model, which coordinates disbursement activities and directly managed or directed activities. In this context, the panel presents the work in supporting ecological, organizational and digital transition in the social economy, thanks to the voices of the actors working with the foundation to achieve the goal. |
