Merlin Meuris – Home is where I belong
Brussels isn’t just home to Europe’s policy nexus, Magritte and the best frites on the planet – it's also home to vibrant and photogenic characters, popping up in unexpected places. They’re popping up at Impact Week, too – in a new photo project.
Impact Week attendees deserve a view of Brussels from the eye of a visionary – social, playful, real. That’s why we tapped renowned photographer – and Brussels native – Merlin Meuris. His series “Home is where I belong” is the result.
"Brussels is a city where multiple visions coexist,” Merlin said of the project. “Capital of Europe and vector of modernity, it is also a place of vernacular traditions. Birthplace of surrealism, the city has never ceased to surprise us; at times strange or incoherent but always with its own uniqueness.”
Merlin’s photos will be on display at Impact Week – but here's a sneak peek.
Impact Week is about to get colorful!
