Impact Week Cinema
Underseen – Documentary, 2024
It took courage to open Ukraine’s first museum run by visually impaired people. Then the full-scale invasion began. Join us for an exclusive pre-screening and panel discussion of our new impact film, Underseen. This short documentary tells the story of Alina, the founder of a museum run by the visually impaired, as she navigates the meaning of her “Museum in the Dark” in the darkness of wartime. The panel will explore how stories can make the unseen seen and make more capital impact capital. In addition to Alina, panellists will include impact investors from USVF, Ukraine’s first impact fund and a member of the Collaborate for Impact project, funded, like the film, by the European Union. Join us for a screening that puts inclusivity centre stage!
Los Williams – Documentary, 2024
A family and sports documentary narrated by Iñaki and Nico Williams: brothers, footballers, Basques and descendants of Ghanaians. After premiering at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, the film comes to Impact Week with the support of BBK Foundation.
The Brink of Dreams (Rafaat einy ll sama) – Documentary, 2024

The screening will feature a discussion with Think-Film Impact Production.
20,000 Species of Bees (20.000 Especies de Abejas) – Drama, 2023
Lucía, an eight-year-old transgender girl, is on a quest for identity. During a summer in a village house linked to beekeeping, she explores her femininity alongside the women of her family, who at the same time reflect on their own. Join us for a screening of Spain’s entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards, supported by BBK Foundation.
Thursday Night
Afrika Bibang
With lyrics in Basque, Spanish and English, Afrika Bibang brings her unique mix of soul, funk and rock sounds to kick off the evening. Afrika Bibang began her career as a singer with the reggae band KeNoFalte, and after years in different projects of the Euskadi scene – Etsaiak, FerminMuguruza, Calima – she began a solo project in 2019. She currently combines her work as a singer with DJing, and was recently a presenter and coach on “Esta es una Noche de Rock&Roll” the new talent show of the ETB2 channel.
LaMia Mari
Donostia-based DJ LaMia Mari will join us to create a musical experience that transcends borders and genres, prioritising dance and movement. Her sound aesthetic has been shaped by a healthy diet of hybrid musical styles, taking as a foundation both the urban and tropical dance sounds of South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Africa, as well as those of the diaspora, infusing them into unique new structures.
